Absa bank limits workaround

If I recall, the daily limit for Absa is R4000 ATM withdrawal and R4000 swipe, though you can do a limitless cash withdrawal inside the bank. I don't look forward to carrying large amounts of money.

What other workarounds are there available when making big purchase but swiping your card won't do?

R4000 per swipe?!?!?!

Just phone ABSA and get them to raise the limit... just don't forget to lower it after the fact.

I haven't ran into any limit when swiping my absa credit card.

Pretty sure I bought my dad's laptop with it. IIRC it was R6K...

Yeah swiping a cheque card shouldn't have a limit besides if you set one.

It's only for withdrawals not purchases.

Was 4000 atm now they've lifted it to 5000 if you want it set to that.
Thats PER card...ie have 2 cards = access to 10k via the atm.
Larger payments theres always internet transfer

Not sure about the upper limit on ATM's, but I've swiped in excess of 20k on my Cheque card.

I collected a new Cheque card from ABSA yesterday and they asked what the ATM withdrawal and swiping limits be set to. If you have online banking and it's linked to your Cheque account you can change the limits there.
