You simply install the Mediahint Add-on for firefox or chrome. (It's Free)
You can also try Hola, which is free too.

Confirmed to be working:
-Pandora
-Hulu
-BBC iPlayer

To Test:
-Netflix (Page works now, but I havent signed up, yet)

*You can try out Netflix for a full month (for free)

I got Netflix working, but I can't get Hulu to work - it keeps on rejecting my credit card (I think it's because it sees it as an SA credit card). How do you guys get around this - Hulu seems to be better than Netflix...

We need to pay for Hulu?

How come I'm able to browse the site and click on Shows (Modern Family, Vampire Diaries, etc) and watch it?

Don't you see this screen when you click here:

They have a free service where you get limited number of content (ie, not the latest and greatest) supported by ads. Then there's Hulu Plus, that has amazing stuff, without the ads, for the same price as Netflix, USD7.95, and that's the one I'm trying to get...

Also, when you try to use Hulu through the PS3 app, like I do with Netflix, they only let you activate the account on PS3 if you enter CC details and that's where I get blocked... irritating - but I saw that you can buy gift vouchers (almost like prepaid Mastercard) overseas and then you can use that prepaid credit card to go buy the monthly hulu subscription - will try and and let you know how it goes.

Ah okay...

The Prepaid credit cards should definitely work. What about Paypal, do they support that?

edit: geez hulu has a lot of content - you can just keep scrolling and scrolling!

Hold on one minute... you mean "Then there's Hulu Plus, that has mostly the same stuff at the same price as Netflix WITH ads."
They still got ads or aids as I like to call them.

I don't think Hulu Plus has a(i)ds... I might be wrong. I've had Netflix now for 4 months, and I promise you, even though there's a lot of stuff on there, there's not a lot to watch. If you do a quick comparison you will see that Hulu is really a lot better and they are affiliated with more and better networks.

can anyone sign up to a hulu account (7 days free) or a netflix account (30 days free) to TEST these firefox/chrome Add-ons?

(I've got a big queue of other downloads and don't want to sign up now, as I won't be able to really use it.)

It has aids promise. I've experienced the same with Netflix, lots of stuff nothing to watch.

Hulu definitely seems like the winner if you have to pick one. Samsung smart tv has Netflix and Hulu apps but you need to change your region.

Oh and use entropay if you have payment probs.

Hulu+ does have ads, but they're hardly that irritating - usually 3 blocks of 15-30 seconds each, in a 20 minute show. Not sure about 40 minute shows, haven't watched any yet. I use Hulu+ to watch various sitcoms the day after they air in the US, saves me from downloading something I'll only watch once.

I used the solution offered by buyfrompowerseller.com (awful name, but service was good). Hulu+ does not work with EntroPay, PayPal or SA credit cards. The site referenced above is one of the better options (Jerry Cards also offers it now, but they're a bit more expensive).

Nice. Looks like Amazon Prime also works, except I'm having issues because their linux support is ***.

Netflix has more & better movies
Hulu has more & better series

For anyone still reading this thread..

You can subscribe to Hulu by creating a new U.S. Paypal account, then link it to a S.A. credit card. When it asks for your bank details, just click 'help' and then go 'back' and the question goes away :)
