I'm watching an episode of South Park. 22 minutes long. I had 160 seconds of adverts before it started and I've had another three stoppages for adverts of 160 seconds so far and I am 15 minutes in!

If they reckon free Hulu will get you to sign up for Hulu+, but they don't confirm no adverts, then they are unlikely to get me to do so.

Well checking the site helps:

What do I get with my Hulu Plus subscription?
Hulu Plus™ lets you watch hit current and back season TV shows and acclaimed movies anytime in HD for $7.99/month with limited advertising. We think of it as a complement to the free service on Hulu.com. For many popular shows on our service, Hulu Plus offers every episode of the current season, not just a handful of recent episodes. Hulu Plus subscribers also have access to back seasons and full runs of some of TV's greatest shows, including many that were not available online before.

Even better, you can watch Hulu Plus content in HD (when available) on multiple devices, including your laptop, the Apple iPad, iPhone and Apple TV, PlayStation® 3, Roku, Xbox 360, Wii, Wii U and Internet-connected TVs and Blu-ray players from Sony, Samsung and Vizio.

So you get less ads and access to more shows.

Ha ha, I'm going to put forward a suggestion that anyone who recommends another means of getting the answers when a question is asked on here should be banned. It is obviously in the owners of this forum's best interests to have things asked on here, it creates traffic. :D

Thanks but them saying "with limited advertising" tells me very little about the actual amount. 160 seconds every 5 minutes could be little in Hulu's opinion. I was hoping someone could tell me their actual experience with Hulu+, as DrJohn attempted to do.

You know they give you a free 7day hulu plus trial right?

Why don't you see for yourself?

With adsl, car buying, hulu, you expect everyone to do everything for you. How about putting on big boy pants?

Ah yes, I made the assumption you were carrying over a chip on your shoulder from the car threads. Thanks for confirmation. I suggest you put a suggestion in to the forum owners that no questions be allowed on here.... everyone must just search online or try it themselves. Good luck with that.

There's helpful questions. and stupid questions. When it costs a grand total of free to find out for yourself, your question becomes stupid.

If it's not helpful, or of any interest to you, there is a simple solution...

Unless of course you've been burdened with the responsibility of personally answering every single question asked on here?

All you're doing is cluttering the forum with stupid questions.

You need a gold membership and a VPN to just to get the app installed.

No VPN required.

Only a US account to get the App and a Gold membership on the account that wants to use the App which can me from any country.

Not only the burden of answering all questions but also deciding which questions are useful and stupid. Sorry, I had no idea you carried so much responsibility around here. I'll be sure to run each future question passed you via PM first, to make sure it's not stupid, before asking publicly. Apologies for taking up your precious time.

No stress. But good idea. I'd appreciate it.

When I tried it wouldn't let me download the app from here unless I used a VPN.

Never needed a VPN for anything on Xbox Live except for a select few items banned in Germany.

And I can tell you many many other people have done the same thing without VPN.

I bought ATV3 this morning and got Netflix up with Unotelly trial.

I'm not sure how or what I did exactly, but it's working.
