I have a problem as from yesterday on my nokia 6680 I use my cell sometimes to use opera mini and to go on v live if im not near my computer. Anyway from yesterday I’m having problems to use the access points v live and internet.gprs on my cell the error message that I receive when I try to connect is “authorisation failed “ but when I connect my cell as a modem on my computer I can surf the web with no problems , what can coarse this problem .

will try it and let you know , but early yesterday morning it work super fine

The internet.gprs is typically the name of the settings on the phone. Inside those setting will be the actual APN name which should be internet.
Admittedly I haven't used a Nokia to connect to the internet since my previous Nokia drowned in the Vaal River, so I'm a bit out of touch.

It sounds like Spamhater needs to properly check the actual connection setting values and not just the name of a set of connection settings...

I tried to change the access point name to internet but with no luck, but why am I having the same problem with the v live access point then.

Have any mischievous exploring minds had access to your phone recently? - if so set a security code requirement for un-keylocking your Nokia.

I got a unlock code set on my cell and for sure im the only one that know`s that code.

It doesnt make sense ??? He cant connect to the net via his phone, but he can connect to the net using his phone as a modem. If he can do the latter, theres nothing wrong with his phone or settings, otherwise he wouldnt be able to connect both ways.

It only appears not to make sense - the PC is likely using different settings, e.g. a custom modem init string...

@Spamhater, review the settings used by your phone and your PC, post them here if you are unsure. Also, are you using the same SIM card or a different SIM card when using the PC to use your phone as a modem?

Wether there's a custom modem init string, the connection still uses the existing settings in the phone. But it makes more sense now, thank you ic

The PC settings can override the phone settings. Or force the phone to use a different set.

what I done is delete my access points on my cell and i will call 155 and ask then to send me the access points for v live and internet again maybe it will work again.Funny im surfing the net with my cell as modem with no access points at the moment and it is deducting it correctly from my bundle.
