Access to recorded content on pvr when downgrading package

Any idea how long ago the oldest recording was made ? would point in the direction that there is no timeout/refresh checking for an active subscription.
 
From chatting to people at work, they reckon that dstv do this because some people will record 150 hours of tv, then cancel their subscription for a few months and watch the recordings.
rinse, repeat.

I rarely got around to watching stuff I taped on VHS, so I reckon I'm still the same.

The bonus of the PVR is you get to watch something when you want, not when Monochoice thinks you should. I often find, in the times I do have available to watch TV, that there's nothing decent on so I flip over to something I actually wanted to watch (and hence recorded).
