I have been using it for years. I always buy and up date online, and they accept Paypal!

Thanks Kromzo III.
If you pay online and download can you then create a copy to use on say a new laptop?

There is a code that is used during the install process, but I have not found that to be restrictive in any way (I have True Image Home 2009 at present).

The beauty of True Image is the self booting disc you can create, which is dead easy to do.
The disc is slick, quick and easy to use and you do not even have to then install True Image on the PC.

I have a client who has around 40 identical PCs out in the field, and I use True Image to "ghost" them.
I actually have one to do this weekend.

I cloned my Toshiba 80GB HDD (laptop) to a 160GB Intel X25M SSD. It cloned everything all right but there were issues with Hidden Volumes in control panel which prevented me from un-mounting USB devices. I had to reinstall all the drivers for these Hidden Volumes. It seems that Acronis True Image may corrupt the registry by adding hidden characters to some registry strings.

Sprry to hear this. Must say I have never had a corrupt backup before, and I have done dozens, and restored easy 100+.
