Adding the midnight surfer option

Ok so i have the big 5 promo does anyone know how i can add the midnight surfer(R100) onto that everymonth without going into a telkom store ?
 
I phoned 8ta data support last week and the guy told me I had to take in all the documents which I took in the first time to an 8ta shop to get the midnight add-on. Is that correct?
 
Mr 8ta rep dude please can you clarify this Most ISP's you can add or remove services from your portal !
 
Do you have to go in to a store to add the midnight surfer or can you do it over the phone?

The 8ta Rep appears to have missed the boat on this one but to answer i have just got off the line with them and the only way too add ti is to go into store.
So you cant add it via internet nor telephone which IMHO is pretty stupid !

I phoned 081 125 and was told they cant help i must phoen 081 180 to which i did and when i got through to the agent she said she cant do it and that i have to go into a branch i went into so if you could clarify how we can do this by phone !

Please email your 8ta number, contact details and request to add Midnight Surfer to [email protected].
Please also give the time lines in which you phoned the call centre.
We would like to investigate this issue.

why can we not add this on the web portal?..

also.. to register for the webportal is a mission!!.. my sim connects to my router.. hence no sms.. i had to navigate to your site.. fill in the details.. pull out the sim.. put it in my cell.. then wait for it to load.. get the pin.. put sim back into router.. connect up.. and.. w8 for it.. session expired so i had to start again..

iv emailed through asking for this code to be emailed.. no luck..

finally made it in to the portal after using another net connection to register.. and... i cant add the bundle...

i tried calling 081 180 and 081 183 yesterday from my 8ta sim.. calls would not connect...
 
It's such a mission to add this bundle!
I got turned away from an 8ta store because I did not have my Green Bar Coded ID Book.
I had drivers licence, the 8ta sim card I wanted to add the bundle to, but I still get turned around.
There is little to no risk here, the sim is rica'd in my name, my name and ID appears on my drivers licence.
That guy must have thought 8ta is actually a bank, because everywhere else drivers licence is generally accepted as a form of identification.
Why not just add it to the web portal? It would make it simpler for the customer to actually give 8ta money!
It's like they want it to be as difficult as possible to support them.

Ok rant over, but I think the procedures are just silly. E-mailing the address given by the 8ta rep above, maybe I will get some joy there.
 
I can vouch for the fact that you CAN add it telephonically. I called them and had it activated within 5 minutes. You do NOT need to go into a shop or produce ANY documentation to activate this.

If you speak to a person that cannot help you, ask to speak to their manager/supervisor. Somebody MUST be able to do this for you.

same here.The lady at the call centre even told me to remove my sim from the dongle, stick it into a cell phone and do it manually.She initially thought I wanted a top up for the 2gig+1gig promo,even though I specified I5 10gig promo.

What to do?
 
I eventually got it added by just phoning the 8ta support number. If you don't come right the first time try again and hopefully you will speak to someone with more than one brain cell.
