Hello guys

I would like to do graphic art once again.. However, I can't afford to buy Photoshop and Illustrator software. Is there any way I can get the software? Would appreciate the help.

Thanks

Get GiMP and Inkscape. If you have the talent, the apps won't matter.

I have never worked with GiMP and Inkscape. I haven't worked with the adobe programs for a long while now. So I am not that good...

If you aren't any good and haven't used the latest versions then it's all the more reason for you to try GIMP and/or Inkscape rather than wasting your money.

Paying for Photoshop/Illustrator is never a waste of money. It may be a bit over the top for a specific purpose, but it is most certainly not a waste. I'm not a designer by a long stretch, just need to edit/change images from time to time, used GIMP for a couple of months and then got creative cloud. Personally I found GIMP's interface extremely frustrating.

In the end it's the same as everything else in life, you get what you pay for.

I have designed logos and graphic art with Illustrator and Photoshop, and found them extremely good and I know I will not use any other programs. When I say I am not that good, I meant I haven't done it in years and gone a lil rusty... doesn't mean I am no good :)

Odsonline.co.za have CS6 Design Standard Student Edition for R2899. That includes the following:

Photoshop® CS6
Illustrator® CS6
InDesign® CS6
Acrobat® X Pro
Bridge CS6
Media Encoder CS6

If you have a student card from a college or university, then this deal will be massive saving.

It is, but if you're not signed up for a course in relation to the products they reject apparently. So you have to add the cost of the courses.

If you don't mind using an older version, browse to:

https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=cs2_downloads

Create yourself an AdobeID & start downloading.

Forgot about that, actually

OP: I use the above Win version to create a quarterly magazine still today. In fact, I sent to print this morning. Nothing wrong with it.
Only one minor catch...its illegal despite what half the internet thinks:
