Maybe they're concentrating on the wrong end of the thread, and someone just needs a kick in the nuts.
The adds are working tonight! They must have got the thread correct as per ginggs's suggestion. Still getting the odd connection interrupted error, but clicking retry generally works first time.
And now they are broken again...
