Hi All.
Can somebody tell me if the stats below seem OK to run at 10Mbp/s.
From the research I have done online (http://fremnet.net/article/216/adsl-theoretical-speed-calculator), it seems that the below Attenuation etc. is more than acceptable, but since being upgraded to 10Mbp/s I have noticed a sluggish browsing experience and doing some simple ping tests I always get packet loss of +- 10% over 25 packets sent.
I am thinking of calling Telkom and asking them to downgrade to 8Mbp/s as I am not sure what else to do.
The stats below are for 2 ADSL2+ Modems sitting in the same location, thought it would be helpful to post both stats.
Thanks - milo

UPDATE
I came across this (http://hwiki.digitalsouth.net.nz/broadband/attenuationandnoise), site which explains Line Attenuation & Noise. Judging from the site it seems although my Attenuation is fine my Noise Level is not, in fact it is quite average, so I will proceed with a downgrade to 8Mbp/s and see if that helps at all.
Will update here in case anyone comes across the same issue.
FINAL UPDATE
Both lines were downgraded to 8Mbp/s and there is a vast improvement.
Have a look at the Noise Level stats below for ADSL MODEM #2 you will notice a huge improvement. Ping Tests from the ADSL Router themselves (fyi jsheed_sa, this takes switches etc out of the equation), show no packet loss whatsoever, I tried sending 25 packets and there was no loss, then tried 500 packets and no loss.
ADSL MODEM #2 (After Downgrade)
Down up
DSL Noise Margin: 19.0 dB 17.20 dB
DSL Attenuation: 8.5 dB 21.5 dB
DSL Transmit Power: 15.3 dBm 12.1 dBm
