It seems to me, that you know very little about p2p. Why should it be illegal for example to download Smallville or open source software, etc.

but the thing is i do use it alot of it and about 29 gig goes to p2p.

thats why i wouldnt go through uunet because you dont have a cap but you also have slow p2p which means i wouldnt reach 30 gigs in a month anyhow.

Love to know how you got 61 Gig, i obtained the UUNET service for fast FTP downloads for my business but i get 5K/s international. Well i might as well just use this p2p kaaza crap seeing as i can't download anything with FTP.

Why would you insinuate celemasiko is lying?

If my math is correct averaging at 20KB/s 24/7 would net you just over 50gb in a 31 day month - and that’s just d/l. With p2p you've got to pay the piper so to speak by contributing back.

Even at an average d/l speed of just 10KBs we’re talking over 25mb - again – one way traffic. Thats dangerously close to the magic 30gb cap.

You like AYCE and that’s fine – different strokes for different folks - but I have no doubt that at the end of the month 30gb would not have been sufficient for my needs.

Like the look of that BW Meter so have just installed it on one of my machines. Even though it will only provide a partial picture of my usage, the pc I installed it one is the machine I keep running for downloading and skype so it will measure the bulk of the traffic.

I often Skype while playing... and Skype eats bandwidth. Doing just this gets me to my cap real quick.

Well, I mostly use it when playing Battle for Middle Earth with 2 friends (3v3)

When doing a conference call the rate increases to an average of 110Kbps. (Sounds a bit much, but this includes up and down)

So If I play a 2.5hr session that would take up 120MB of bandwidth!! That excludes the game bandwidth.

So, If I ONLY play BFME using Skype I will only be able to play roughly 22 sessions a month, no browsing, no d/ling anything else....


Does this make sense now?

no roughly 13k/s times 60 then 60 for an hour accounting to me is 24 meg an hour right
so it would be around 60 megs you would use for skype and i doubt middle earch uses alot of bandwidth as well
