ADSL Douglasdale

Hi all,

Before I fly off on a tangent at Telkom.
Does anyone know if there is a problem with the exchange in Douglasdale area?

I disconnected my ADSL line from my router yesterday morning due to lightning. Got home reconnected it and now there is no DSL light on my Modem. Contacted Telkom, they claim errors at the exchange. I suspect that my line might have been taken for another ADSL user (has happened to my clients before).

So before I burst a vein in my forehead can anyone confirm they are also having issues?
 
Nothing mentioned in the Telkom ADSL Notifications List
for your exchange having any errors

If you cannnot sync or authenticate ask them to reset the DSLAM port
(which should not work if its fried or allocated to another user)

Yep maybe some techie saw that that one was not in use and took your port for a new installation/or another fault.
I am just guessing not to say it is so, but it is "imminent" Definition - likely to occur at any moment
