ADSL in Tableview

All good here :) No real problems to report.

Had slow access issue, which was resolved by Telkom moving me to a new port.

Afrihost 4Mbps uncapped bundled.
 
Parklands - slow and high MS

Parklands (end of Gie road) 2MB line. Very high MS (Averaging 100 on most hops) to News24.com. This is with a clear line ie no downloads.

Telkom are looking at it but who knows. In general iffy connections in the past few weeks. Could be exchange upgrades but I can still only get 4MB sync and no offering of higher speeds as yet.
 
I assume Parklands falls under this section? If so, will post stats tonight. I'm not heppie!!!!
 
In Flamingo Vlei, our internet has been very slow and lost connection (admittedly, not for long periods) for quite awhile now. Sometimes I just reboot the router and all back to normal, other times we grin and bear it. I have been receiving sms's that state that they are upgrading our area and to be patient and expect connection issues. Im ok with that!(for now)

2mg line- Telkom isp.

Will ask the husband how its been faring with the gaming side!
 
I am also close to the end of Gie road, just off wandsworth road right at the edge, i can only get 2mbps for they say the exchange is more than 4kms away,
I can see 2 of the new white vdsl msan boxes from my place but they say they are not in use yet..
when are we going to be connected to those is my question...
very frustrated with ADSL at the moment...
 
Also Flamingo Vlei. 3 times in the last 3 years Telkom had to come out and service the above-ground phonelines. Technician says infrastructure is old and the wind/trees damages the lines over time.

Other than that no issues at all :-)

Ahh yes, we have only been in our house for a year and they have already been to our place to replace the line outside in our yard as they said our trees had "snapped" it. They did sort it pretty quick thou.

@skelemirth, I also stayed in Gie rd, we had a 4mg line that was running at 6mb and it was prefect, never a days problem. I'm sure Gie rd is not more than 4km???
 
anyone else suffering a with getting only 2mb in parklands near caernarvon crescent? why dont they update the exchange..this is very slow. telkom does not answer me
 
how can i find out where the next exchange is? i am really getting sick of my less than 2mbit/s..
