Good news! Telkom FINALLY sent a technician with the right equipment out to come and fix my line. After about 2 hours the line was up and running again. He told me that the best would be to phone 082375375 to report the fault and then phone the other numbers (reveiw thread) and complain to them to get something done.

Similar problem, My line drops every 3.5 to 4 hours. Logged call on 05/09/06.
Tried everything including changing modem but no help. Was away last week but got home with a message on answering machine saying tested line all fine and cancelling my fault call, but guess what I still have same problem.

Had the same problem. Two days later connection totally collapsed after two days struggle with Telkom support we determined that it's either a line fault or ISP fault. ISP was perfect as I made sure of that by first connection error.
Telkom however told me they would send a technitian but I would have to pay if there is no problem with the line.
They could pick up if router was on or off from telkom's side but I still had no connection.

Bought a modem from PC shop and everything now works perfectly.......

My suggestion is you phone the numbers listed in this thread and you insist that a ADSL technician comes to your home with a ADSL tester and refuse to pay.
