hey everyone,
Can someone pls tell me if my line stats are good or not? The reason why I'm asking is coz my router normally takes quite a while to connect and I wanna know if it's maybe the line or if it's time for a new router? The router is a bit old, so i'm guessing it's that, but don't wanna just wanna go get a new one and then that's not what the problem is.

DSL Modulation Mode: ADSL2+
DSL Path Mode: Fast
Downstream Rate: 10012 kbps
Upstream Rate: 1024 kbps
Downstream Margin: 14 db
Upstream Margin: 14 db
Downstream Line Attenuation: 30 db
Upstream Line Attenuation: 7 db
Downstream Transmit Power: 12 db
Upstream Transmit Power: 20 db

Your line stats are very good, seeing that you have SNR margins of 14dB on a 10Mbps ADSL line!

Typically all you want is SNR margins above 12dB, such that you don't experience stability issues where the ADSL connection to the DSLAM drops, which would also result in your PPPoE connection to your ISP dropping and taking your Internet connectivity with it.

How long does it take to connect? Does it drop once its connected?

Thanks for the replies. I guess it's a new router then :P
It usually stays on for a day or so, then just loses connection, then i have to unplug it and plug back in a couple of times or remove the line and plug that in again and play around with it until it connects again.
And it's in edenvale haha.

Check if it is the PPPoE connection (to the ISP) or DSL connection (to the DSLAM) that drops.

You can always try and update the router's firmware, unless it's a poor Netgear ADSL modem, in which case I would suggest that you upgrade to a TP-Link ADSL modem, like the W8960N.

It's probably your router I had a similar problem with my billion 400g telkom router until I upgraded to my TP-Link W8960N router and no problems anymore connects nice and quick.

Can you show me the CRC Errors if it shows that on your router? All other errors on stats should be 0

Heres my TP-Link router
