adsl onnection problem

i have the telkom free internet trial but today, after i reset my router (router password didnt work) i cant back online :erm: the dsl light do not even go on when i plug everything in. what can the problem be? i connected and dc everything a few time in case it a connection problem.

please help. cause i dont feel like sitting on the phone with telkom this time on a sunday.

My friend (and our church) had a strange issue this past Thursday in Stellenbosch too, where the ADSL would sync 100% fine at 1024/512kbps up/down, but the PPPoE connections wasn't able to connect from like 15:00 - 20:30. But in his case the DSL light was on of course.

What happens if you plug the modem in directly on the Telkom line - without any filters or other telephones connected?

Btw: what ADSL modem do you have?

You can always try and manually set the modulation/ADSL mode to G.Dmt, instead of auto/ADSL2+.

i plug it in still no light on modem
did check the line by connecting a phone to the adsl line... there is a dail tone.
im using a duoplus 300 from telkom. im new to adsl so i have no idea what that modulation things mean.
