Hi Guys

How does one get a ADSL router connected to a UPS

Any thoughts please

Take a screen power cable and cut the one end off and attach the other end to a multiplug adaptor.
Plug the screen cable+multiplug into the UPS.
Plug the ADSL router and other stuff into the cable+multiplug.

yup, did the same conversion earlier the week, works 100%.

Also opened the UPS and removed the bloody annoying speaker, nothing like a continues beep sound when the power is out during the middle of the night / day.

Where does one find multiplug adapters that still allow you to change the electrical cable ?

All the ones I see in MAKRO etc are SEALED units ?

The OLD "snappers" used to allow you to change the cable -- or attach a longer one via a small section at the back with a cover. But they seem to be long gone -- WHAT does one use now ?

Cut off the plug, strip wire, go to electrical store buy IEC connector, connect to multiplug, plug into UPS.

The other option is to buy a female plug (the one with holes) and attached the monitor cable to the plug, allowing you to plug in the multiplug, Spar used to sell these plugs.

You can also use a double-sided plug - they can be opened, and have an opposing plug layout each side - unscrew, attach the correct end of the cut-off monitor extension cable -- make sure you connect the correct wires...

Mica, Spar, Hyper's and most hardware stores sell the double-sides plugs.
