If you want - try more european servers.

I've suspected for a while now that my profile hasn't been totally kosher. It seems to run at between 2Mbps and 3Mbps for most times. Does seem to be able to do 4Mbps on occassion.



That's on the IS Fibre semi-shaped account to London. No other SA server besides the Jhb one.

Your upload is very good. I don't think it's your profile to be honest, my upload is slightly less than yours: SAIX shaped.

Actually just thought of something. The test is done from my laptop which connects to a router that is downstairs in my house (line and main router is upstairs). I am using Linksys routers with DD-WRT and WDS to distribute the signal. It struck me that one of the known WDS negatives of WDS is halved network speed. I always thought it halved the speed of what the router is capable of doing (54Mbps). But given a weak signal downstairs, it may be that it means the downstairs connection struggles to get past 2Mbps-3Mbps.

EDIT: Ah that answers something I've been meaning to check for a while. My upload profile was downgraded to 512kbps from 640kpbs.
