Advanced Driving Course - who's done one?

Sorry to bring up an old thread... but did you complete the course? How was it?
Thinking of saving up to do it but I dunno if I'd want to do it in my own car, (1996 1.3 Citi Golf) :confused:
 
I've done all 3 of the modules at Killarney last year, worth the money.

Module one - the skidpan opens your eyes a bit.
Module two - will improve your driving and make you more alert.
Module three - will teach you to take corners very quickly.

Driving around the track as fast as you can is plenty of fun.

You're not going to bugger up your car, so go ahead.

I did my IAM course after I had been rallying for a few years and thought that I knew how to control a car and I agree with the OP, you suddenly find out how little you actually know. I then went on to work on a part time basis instructing high speed driver training for Porsche owners a total blast getting the guys to drive correctly.

I think an Advanced Driving course should be every child's 18th birthday present! :D
 
My brother has done the AD course in Dubai in an R8... he still drives like a wally :)
