Advertisements for abortion

I've seen flyers stuck onto lamp posts with some cell number, no address or names on there. Their slogan? "Abortions, cheap, quick and safe". Made me shudder.

same thing if you pulled the foetus from the mother's womb and shot it with a 12 guage shotgun.

+10 I think they feel so trapped and has nobody to ask do not know where to turn and do stupid things where as if there is a "safe" number that you know you can call. I feel it will help. It's sad that it is necessary. But it is.

there are plenty of unjust laws in the world. I am sure you do not agree with all of them either.

The ending of a human life in this way amounts to murder. The fact that some government has allowed it does not change the underlying reality of what it is.

It is murder for the sake of convenience. Shows how "civilised" our society has become.

*nod* I agree with you, I believe it may help scared women who feel the need to go though with it feel less ostracised by society and not get guilt-tripped into having a child they don't want and won't be able to look after properly.

Before abortion was legalized, the mother had the option to terminate the pregnancy if the baby's illness was not compatible with life and / or the mother was in danger. My abortion was the most horrible thing I had ever to go through. There was virtually no councilling - I could have given birth to my daughter but there was a very real chance she would die shortly after her birth. She would have suffered.

I know how much I hate myself for agreeing. I wonder sometimes whether the doctors did not make a mistake - and I know they didn't. A lab analysis was done after the termination.

Imagine killing a healthy child.

I'm sorry to hear that, that is horrible. Obviously you wanted that baby though, so its a bit different to what these other woman are having.

My friend was gang raped and had to have an abortion, she has to live with the consequences every day. At least she doesn't have to look at the face of her rapist.

Given what you just said i'm surprised at your opinion.
 
On a personal level, I find abortion sickening but I'll make an attempt not to judge people, especially depending on the circumstances of the childs conception.

I'm all for people making a more informed choice but the thought of having dinner watching tv and a abortion ad coming up would make me :sick:

It's a choice. Educate the people and the choice will be less to be made.

We all got used to the pads and tampons over dinner.
And I'm sure it will be a kind advertisement not the scary stuff the americans did with processed meat.
 
So will this ad will also be aimed at the teens? All those stories I read about their schools make me think tv is the only teacher they'll listen to.

I agree that there are many laws that are wrong. Was just pointing out that it is murder by opinion, not murder by law.

And if the baby is going to cause the mother to die ? If you save the baby you kill the mother. So then you can't win.

We have so many ways to save lives that should not have been saved... often its the correct choice to let something die that is supposed to die, more often its a better choice to help some one die that is suffering.

Call it murder if you want but its more humane.

In another case someone got raped & impregnated... the family refused her the option of an abortion, said they'd take care of the child themselves. Their Christian values forbid abortion.
