I please need some advice and/or ideas. Let's say you go to an expo, but you have a side hustle and cannot afford to have a stand or whatever at the expo yet. What creative things would you do to market your own side hustle right under your competitors' noses?

Firstly, going to the expo would mean your current employees and/or boss could see you there, in which case you're screwed.

I have done something like this before. I didn't have a stand, but I dished out flyers/networked my arse off. I shaved, had my hair cut and wore my glasses.
My current job, there's zero chance of any of the staff going to expos so I put in a day or two's worth of leave and go to the expos.

What about not going to the expo and spend your time being productive?

My side hustle is not related to my full time job and my current employer is fully aware of my side hustle and whenever I go to expos.
 
I guess asking for advice on here that involves human intelligence was not a good idea

At the risk of derailing this thread from the topic of cxcks and netwanking.....

You could wear a branded shirt with a slogan that invites people to strike up a conversation about your product or service. Something like "The Myawesomeproduct does this beneficial thing - Ask me how!"

Maybe also have some merch like branded USB drives that you can hand out that direct people to your marketing channels.

This article is pretty interesting, even for 2025. Although it is strictly focused on healthcare, it can also be considered for other industries. SEO has become an essential part if you want to run a successful business.
