Hi

Please can I have some advice.

I am looking at getting my son a laptop, it is his first year mechanical engineering. I am looking to get him something that will last him for a while and not break the bank. I have asked asked a few people and someone recommended the below, however I see lots of negative feedback about evetech on this forum.

thoughts on the below or something similiar.

I have a love hate relationship with Evetech,
I hate them, because sometimes you do get duds

But, their pricing is great, ship quickly enough....and they have warranties (Sometimes you have to send a machine back 2 or 3 times)

As for the Victus....its got a 3050 in it, so mech engineering wont kill that.
the only downside to the machine, the USB c port wont do display aswell. so only a max of 2 screen output.

Other than that, seems on paper to be a decent enough machine

Something like this could work, a little more pricey but will last a good few years: https://nucleustech.co.za/product/dell-precision-3580-i7-1360p-1tb-16gb-nvidia-a500-workstation/

I will tighten up pricing as much as I can for you.
