Advice picking a new car

What flippen clutch cost R20k? for that you can get a brand new motor, gearbox & clutch and you might even have change. Also remember he might finance the 20k over 5 years making it a bliksems expensive insurance policy.

Excatly why OP should be looking at cars with between 15 000km and 20 000km on the clock, all these little niggles would've been sorted.
 
soooo.... I just took the Fiat for a spin - there's just no comparison in terms of power to any of the cars that I've test driven! Absolutely blown away by it's power. I cannot lie I think I might just get one :whistle:
 
So thats 62kW go drive the 82kW 2 now maybe you'll drop your panties right there. Btw drove past a white 500 today and must say it's a cute little thing i like it, dare i say alot more than the UP on looks at least.

But i think the sporty ride, suspension, best manual gearbox in the business and more power in the jap would have taken me. It is also very tidy and the infotainment system is unheard of in the class in sa

Yeah if I look at the up and the 500 there is just no comparison in power. I'll definitely try give the 2 a test drive tomorrow. I want to try do the up, 500 and 2 all tomorrow straight after each other and make a final decision.

One thing to note about the 2 is that if I go for the mid range one its R211 with a service plan included. The 500 is R200 with a maintenance plan included

Funny enough my gf made a similar point saying that you can only worry about money and budget to a point and if you get a car that's cheaper / more affordable but hate driving it (2 hrs each day) then what's the point.
