ADVICE PLEASE !!

I managed to get into my Router, but can't find the ADSL stats you asked for (SNR margins, line attenuation and sync speed). Any idea where I would find them ??
Setup, Basic, Advanced, Wireless, Security, Status, Help ??

Your data you receiving is giving errors which could mean a problematic router or problem on line/dslam/exchange. If your router is the similar to my billion 400g it should be 0.
 
Thanks M - I'm almost certain it's the exchange. Mweb did a few tests & told me that the line has inteference, but just under the threshhold necessary to require a repair by Telkom.

No problem I had same and after pursuing telkom a lot (2 years) they eventually fixed it even though they had every neighbour complaining also.

The way i got it fixed was going to the telkom direct store and complaining there then they got a special techy to come and check and he found the problem and fixed it. (Took a while to get the information to prove to the consultant that there was something wrong with the exchange)

Those CRC errors are enough to get Telkom to come out.
 
I'll go down to the Telkom store tomorrow - shall I show them the stats?
 
right i'm confused. on the first page you say your speed is 356. but the stats you posted show us the line syncs at 1024.
did you not perhaps mean you have a 384 account? but then why pay extra for a 1meg line...

oh well, either way there are problems with the line it appears
 
Yes Srack, I am confused & yes I do have a 384 account (Telkom automatically upgraded the line, but my connection became very unstable & hence the downgrade of my account. Apologies for the misuse of the tech terms and jargon - I'm not an IT fundi.
