Hi

I've been trying to look around for an idea of what the best budget laptops are but it's been a bit of a struggle to find things that are available in South Africa. Anyone have any advice or even a better idea of where I should be looking?

Thanks

Get a used Hp Elite 820 840 850

They are great laptops and easily upgradeable with more than 5 hours battery life.

Put in 8gb of ram, a samsung evo 850 or so and windows 10 and they become blistering fast and yet weight is about 1.3 to 1.6kg with 5-10 hrs battery life.

I wonder if anyone is brave enough to bet an opinion on the better notebook between Dell 17 5000 and the Asus GL702ZC. They're equipped with the Ryzen processors, but differ slightly in graphic processing. I think the Dell's Radeon Vega8 is slightly better than the RX580 offered by Asus, but if this requirement is not important, what should one look at for a superior configuration. Take care.

Dell has amazing after sales service and they generally do 3yr warranty. The only other thing that's necessary is a SSD drive.

I highly doubt that seeing as vega 8 is an iGPU.

Go Dell all the way for service. If you have any issues with the asus you end up in Partserve hell....
