Advice

That is much better than the decrepit s*hit box of a toyota.

Oh, agreed.
My partner for some reason got into the 'mood' (car hunting) and went to see the Etios the following day and for some reason, she is very happy with it.
Even my current CLIO is more of a 'solid' car (the feel) than that Etios.

But hey... each to their own.

Etios is a kuk buy. OP's friend from high-school is swak for charging him that OTR.

I don't think he had much choice in the matter... (for the Etios) but I think he has wangled something in the purchase of the Polo Vivo though because apparently it was R119,000 and I'm getting it for R114,000ish but don't quote me.

I drove a brand new one once, and the interior trim just started to fall off. Speaker grill was gone within minutes, which was optimistically hiding a speaker about 6 times smaller than the grill would suggest.

So a bit of an update for those interested;

/snip...

The car is a 2012 Polo Vivo 1.6 Trendline with 28,000km on the clock, Bluetooth, C/L and is really in a great condition.

When you think about it, all I really want the car is for 'space' and I'm going from repayments of R1,400 to R2,700. Joh! :)

I hope you have many, many happy miles behind the wheel! :)
