AfD Declared 'Right-Wing Extremist Endeavor' by German Intelligence

I love the bizarre attention.

point being the claim:

it may well be the same if i did it for a few of us, but are we also trying to claim we hardly ever post about it
no, MY point was about slinky saying I'm absolutely obsessed. The few times I post about trannies is not me being absolutely obsessed. A few posts is indeed "hardly ever" lol.

Anyway, some mod is gonna come in here to clean up this mess but thanks for the attention! :)

Your continued activity on this thread does a great job of proving the point. Irony much?

I'm not allowed to respond to people talking to and about me now?

You're in this thread talking about it too, does that mean you're now obsessed? You guys :ROFL:

What's so funny?

If you want to see actual obsession, check out the gaming screenshots thread in the gaming forum. Check how many times I post in there on a regular basis. That's literal obsession. Not my few posts about the mentally ill.

I see the tread has been very effectively de-railed again. What a surprise.

The question here is: Should existing governments be allowed to ban opposition parties?

How simple is that?
Firstly, the AfD has not been banned. They have been declared "extremist" which allows for more surveillance, but doesn't prevent them from participating in government.

Yes, as long as there are the correct checks and balances in place. Rules for banning should be baked into a constitution and bannings should be subject to judicial review.

Germany has rules laid out in the Basic Law (constitution). Europe takes judicial review a step further and decisions can be appealed to the European Court of Human Rights.

Your post was informative and very relevant until the highlighted part. It's fascinating how Russian conspiracy theories are very mainstream and acceptable when cited on behalf of a Leftist agenda.
I don't understand what you mean when you say "Leftist agenda"?

I have no idea what that has to do with the topic at hand and it's an extremely poor post. There's nothing there other than a headline. I don't see how forcing children to go to school can be seen as LEFT-wing extremism...

Side-note, I googled that quickly and I got:
It is important to first understand the events that led to the prohibition of homeschooling in Germany. It all began in 2006, when the German Supreme Court declared that it is unconstitutional for parents to homeschool their children.

According to the court’s decision, the state’s obligation to supervise a child’s education supersedes the parents’ rights in this particular matter. This judgement was based on the country’s basic law or constitution, which states that the government of Germany must assume its responsibility for the supervision of homeschooling. This ruling by the court was then reaffirmed by the German Federal Constitutional Court in 2008, thus making it impossible for homeschooling to be legal in the country.
So it wasn't a law passed by a LEFT-wing extremist government, but to fulfil the rights laid out in the constitution. Constitutional change is always very difficult. You should really google before taking things at face value.

It is about the leader of the "Die Linke" (left-wing party), calling for the overthrow of capitalism. The school reference was related to young people being indoctrinated in school, and voting left-wing because of it.

Talk about drama! Hai shem.

You can do whatever you like and people will interpret what you do or say in the context of the thread and your previous comments. It's called a "forum".
Exactly. So me responding to people quoting and talking about me in a specific thread is not me being "absolutely obsessed" with something.

Wrong. You do not get to dictate how others interpret your actions. You post what you like and people will tell you what they think. In this case they think you are obsessed with transgender people. Because of what you post.

Yeah I don't think you know what obsession means. You don't seem to know what dictate means either. Nowhere did I dictate anything to anyone.

I never said that they were banned.

A lot of political commentators however, referred to this being the next possible step, being made easier by the "extremist" declaration.

My , and other's, comments were based on this, as it quickly become part of the discussion.

We all however, value your moderation of this thread.....

Comment on the political landscape in the EU in general:

Have you actually cross-checked all his claims or are you just taking them at face value?

Right off the bat, Marine Le Pen was banned because she was found guilty, by a court, of embezzlement. I would think most countries would have laws preventing felons from running for office. Only in Trump world does politics understate crimes.

Regarding the Dutch banning political parties, in my post around Germany, I mentioned that in Europe political bannings can be appealed to the European Court of Human Rights. If AfD or any other European party is banned and they believe it was for political motives, they have this recourse available to them.
They would rather play to the court of public opinion where they get to present a 1-sided view and play the victim / underdog so they can gain more support.
