some people will just not be swayed from their oppinion, and thats also OK, everybody has their right to their oppinions
perhaps we should agree that, while AA has its place in ZA, for the good that it has brought to our people, and our land, the law, like many other laws, is not perfect.
And if not the law itself, then the way the law is implimented.
And that is what we, and our communities have to continue working on, day by day.
I do believe, at the end of the day, we all strive towards the same goal, the improvement and upliftment of all our people's lives.

The secret is simple, when you directly benefit from something to a large extent you will do whatever is necessary to protect it and challenge anyone who would remove it or even question it.

Why don't we just let it be. This is probably the fifth thread on AA since I joined. So far the arguments have been the same on both sides. So guys and girls next time you find an article on AA and think about posting it here, please don't. I am tired of the subject already.methinks its long time to let go of this thread....

Do you see AA as a punishment for something? Understandably the system is being abused but we won't have made any progress since the fall of apartheid if we don't allow equality in workforce.

Xtermin8tor is the beneficiary of reverse apartheid. He will do, say and use anything to defend his position in the NEW SOUTH AFRICA. It's like defending your home and your business from loss and doing whatever you need to do to protect your interests from loss and in some ways he is correct in doing so but on other levels he misses a pure truth. And that truth is that he is brainwashed by the ANC in a similar way that the Nats brainwashed people during their reign of power.
He is also not that much different from some of those nasty racist Afrikaners that I come in contact with during my military service in the early 80's. They too were the beneficiaries of a lopsided system and were willing to do anything to protect that.
Again and final, AA is used in other countries to help MINORITIES in the workplace and not to give advantage to the MAJORITY. For example, in Canada, the majority of inhabitants here are white.
AA(aka Employment Equity) in Canada and many other countries around the world helps to protect and help minorities.
