Yeah well you need to believe the bible for a start for this argument to hold any water, and that's a whole new debate. Oh wait, it's not so new anymore...there are ample religious threads out there.

Unless your ancestors came from Mesopotamia (modern Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey, ) you can't claim the invention of the wheel and written language either.
So what makes you think those would not have found their way to Africa like they found their way to W Europe?
 
First off, they didn't enslave them em masse. Subjugate and treat them unfairly yup. Next the people that arrived from Europe weren't evil by the standards of the day. By todays possibly. Indeed they were quite enlightened for that time. Compare the lot of African in SA with that of a negro in the US at that time.

I never claimed the invention of the wheel or a written language for the peoples of Europe. I said that Africa had neither.

Many africans fail to remember that they sold land to the 'colonial' people - but since the africans has a very advanced handwriting and documentation system, no-one took notes at the meetings.

So what did the settlers do wrong.. the rest of the world was doing it, everybody but the natives down here.
And I think most of us has enough brains to know that when people say whites stole from Africa, if they were not here first the Arabs would have done it and and and.
Supply and demand. In africa there were no need for a wheel, so nobody though of it. So the Settlers came. The Arabs enslaved a whole lot more natives than the settlers.

The same way that the wheel and written language came to Western Europe would have come to Africa as well, hence your point about Africans not being able to progress because they did not have written language and the wheel becomes irrelevant. YOu made it sound like they had to invent those things like the Western Europeans invented them prior to arriving in Africa.

Maybe they could. Fact is the white man arrived and changed the rules. We'll never know.

Problem is that some quarters seem to think that returning to the culture and technology that predated the arrival of the white man will make everything fine and dandy. But that culture and technology can no longer work with Africas population at its current levels

Stop reading things into my points. Fact is the bantu peoples had neither adopted nor invented neither the wheel nor a written language. Finish an klaar. Without these their development could only be very limited.

Yeah well some people think that handing farms back to people whose agricultural skill is at the same as an African person who lived 300 years ago is "progress". No wonder Africans are dying like flies and those who aren't dying subsist on aid. So maybe it isn't obvious to everybody.
