I have now sent close to 15 tickets approx 6 or 7 calls since the middle of last month, and still have not got response or resolution to my problem.
Bad pings at times up to 450ms and 300 to 500 ms for nearly a week and then down to 80ms then at about 50 ms and currently 80ms... over the last 3 weeks. My norm is in the low 30s mb/s... download speeds just over 2mb/s on a 4mb/s line..
I have had Telkom Tech come into my residence after he had tested the Telkom back end recreated the ports etc.
He tested with my router and his router and i got the same above terrible results.. Connected both my router and his router using the Telkom guest account an on both routers got the exact same result 21ms.
So this is where the tickets started, i spoke to so many support guys at Afrihoax and i sent speed tests. trace routes numerous times, (about 4 times in a few weeks) to the extent that i got so tired doing this i told them to look at the previous ones...
I can't play COD Ghost which i spent a lot of money on ( for me it's alot of money), because i teleport all over the map
Then I don't even get a response back from them after said they have elevated the problem with MTN and they admitted that the problem was on their side..
I was throttled at 50% last month on the 26th September after downloading just under 60meg
I was throttled 75% last night 22nd October after downloading 44 meg..
and tonight the 23rd October i am unshaped
what gives??
I am moving my ISP as well as my domains, but doing a bit of research.. Afrihoax does not really seem to care about their customers any more, especially those who are on 4mb/s lines and lower. but throttle us when we download just 44 meg.. Telkom only throttle at 100gig according to their consultant.
Maybe they should charge me half price because i am getting half speed double latency and no service.
current speedtest as of tonight 80mb/s 2.11 download with speedtest.net
current speedtest as of tonight 87mb/s 2.35 download with saix
NO SERVICE, BAD DOWNLOAD SPEEDS, TERRIBLE LATENCY AND SHOCKING SERVICE WITH NO FOLLOW THROUGH
