Afrihost 10c OOB data soft launch

Actually R102.40/GB

But 10X better than R1013.76/GB on Cell C @ 99c per MB.
Or than R1024/GB on MTN @ R1 per MB
Or than R2048/GB on Vodacom @ R2 per MB!

There, you've ended the argument in a few seconds! Well done!

Great stuff Afrihost. How is it possible for you guys to implement these rates AND control mechanisms in an arena that is not your core business/product, where conversely the mobile carriers are at pains - as their core business - to offer a solution? It is really mind boggling!! Well done...

R100/GB. Hmm.

The idea is not to choose between topups or OOB, but to use whichever is more convenient. If you see 2 for 1 is on, by all means grab it at R49.50 per GB. But if you only have an hour before the end of the month and you're capped, better to spend a few rands and not have data expire :)

Thanks for the kudos! I think it's becuase we are small that we can break the mould - but also because we trust our clients to come to the party and make these deals work. Trust is the only real currency that matters in business these days :)

Exactly

I wonder how MTN feels about Afrihost killing MTN's prices on their own network.

this is news that we actually look forward to. not the nonsense vodacom mtn promos

MTN is very happy about this. It allows MTN Wholesale to get data to the public through a 3rd party at a cheaper rate, without actually pissing off existing MTN clients.

Will this apply to the Afrihost APN on MTN sim cards?
