I posted this problem before in the Afrihost Capped Feedback thread but got largely ignored - aside from Afriman trying to assist me the best he can
In a nutshell, I moved from Mweb 1mbs Uncapped to Afrihost 2mbs Capped (50gb) the beginning of October. To say my experience has been bad would be an understatement...Take into consideration that Mweb has never given me these issues before so I have no clue how to fix them or what causes the problem.
Basically what happens is that my pages are not loading properly most of the time - it will show images being broken / unloaded are entire page would be a mess due to not being loaded properly. A lot of the time I will have a timed out window or could not connect which means I have to refresh several times to get the page to display.
Through assistance from Afrihost we have tried the dns settings in my router (tried Automatic, Afrihost's & Google - all three didn't work), my settings in my router are correct / what they describe...my DNS settings on my laptop are UNODNS servers which I now turned off (still doesn't work). I have also sent them my traceroute which didn't show them anything I think as the feedback was that my line runs at full speed...
I have a D-Link DSL-2640U router if anyone wonders
Anyone have any similar issues? Any other things I can try out? I was wondering if it is perhaps not my line being unable to go for the 2mbs? Heeeeellllppp (pretty please)
