How on earth do you overuse 1.5GB, is the usage tracker that slow to update and cut off ?

lol i know hence the thread...some say it's an hour...i had problems on WA (130GB) and swapped to the 1GB free account...
forgot the PPPOE connection on and my news client kicked in at 12:00
 
Slightly off topic but seeing as it's getting close to the time to cancel any unwanted packages from Afrihost; whats the correct way to cancel the R1 deal but then keep the free 1GB that they give each month? I have one user name for the free 1GB and another for the R1 deal that I bought.

Previously when i paid them a proper months subs and then decided that i had too much bandwidth so i cancelled (there was no option to downgrade), it was such a drama to get my 1GB re-instated, as something went wrong when i cancelled the subs and my free GB was nuked.
 
Afrihost do not have their own radius server. They use IS's server that gives them updates 3 or 4 times a day. So say it was checked at 9am and then at 1pm.

Lets say at 9am you still had 10mb left and used it, afrihost would not know until the next update at 1pm. So from 9am till 1pm you get 'free data' which they allocate as overuse for the next month.

I could be wrong, but I know this is how they used to be.

Oh yes, overreaction is just another fine example of your maturity level. Finding out your case doesn't generate much sympathy (particularly after dismissing AH as BS right in the header) and throwing a temper tantrum because of some mocking? And then trying to weasel out of your selfmade predicament by saying you just "wanted to get useful insight" is laughable at best.

AfriHost will use their own radius server for all capped accounts. Its only uncapped accounts which are located on I.S's Radius.
 
How do you get this free 1gb anyway? It won't let me get one. Existing old Afrihost member.
