Looking muuuuch better :)

Well I cancelled my line service with Afrihost and AfriMan as well as myself have expedited it with Telkom.

This is the type of performance I was getting prior to my line migrating.

I think I touched on this before, it's truly strange that after a line migration that you've seen issues. There is no physical change to exchanges, DSLAMs or ESR's when the line is migrated - it just a billing/ admin change.

I will continue to test this as the week goes on but I was convinced then and I'm convinced now that something went tits up with my migration.

Even my traces are better than the same time yesterday. Line attenuation is down from 15dB to 13.5dB and my SNR is slightly up too. Not previous levels but better.

Ok so what do I do now just sit and be on hold for 40 minutes and no one will be able to assist?

I have had better service from telkom to be honest.

If I need to log a line fault who do I call? I can't get through to the call center, so there is no hope!

No one at afrihost calls back, critical care does not phone!

I have been trying to get through to the call center since 10am and have had no resolution to my problem, I guess afrihost just does not care because it's only "one" person, that spends R1500 a month at their company so if he leaves it will not put a dent in the profits.

Hi
I logged a ticket yesterday for slow speed on our business uncapped account but no response from afrihsot support?? How long does it takes for someone to contact me to sort out the problem?

Are you running any network activity in the background? Your routers response time is far too high :(

Streaming Hulu, Netflix and iTunes like a boss again. No buffering and the stream quality is gooooooooood.

Yeah, I can vouch for a much improved experience in the last hour or so as well from what it was like during the day. But I'd still like to know what it would take for Afrihost to get the network back to what it was like 6 weeks ago when the experience was better still, at any time of day, even on a Home Uncapped account.

Really glad to hear it, which area are you guys in?

Very slow speeds in Centurion, at this late time of night. Only 2.2Mbps with 0.18Mbps upload on a 4Mb line :(
I was getting better speeds with a non business account. What gives?

If this is business, I'd hate to know what non-business is getting.

http://www.speedtest.net/result/3068365922.png

And then I get the following at the moment, also in Centurion, whereas my speeds throughout the day were similar to yours now. So indeed, what gives?

I'm evaluating AfriHost's Business Uncapped ADSL , as a Plugg user. I signed up on Monday and have not yet seen the blistering performance I was expecting. My speedtest results are very inconsistent and never reach 4mb. When running speedtest from my Plugg account, I see very consistent speeds of 4mb, running the tests every 30 minutes and then changing accounts. Tedious yes, but at the moment I'm on the Plugg account and it's working better for me.

Seen the same thing and waiting on critical care, afrihost 4mb is 3.6mb

Having migrated my line a few times, it seems after migration the line goes to gdmt and doesn't stay on ADSL2
