All the bus accounts are seeding I presume, all their stuff may be done by now lol

Seeding?
Only thing mine is doing is throwing mielies. And lots of it :D
Really impressed by how it performs.
No more cases of my ftp downloads [I'm a developer so I use ftp] being bugged by shaping.

P2p seeding...ftp shouldnt be shaped to my knowledge, negatively affects browsing doesnt it

hey guys, just wanna find out is the business uncapped really worth the extra bucks?

Definitely is. I'm back to running full speed after I moved my line back to Telkom.

It would seem as though there was a mistake somewhere with my line migration as I was on a Fast ADSL package at Afrihost (1Mbps) instead of Fastest ADSL (4/10Mbps).

I'm just glad I'm back to the level of performance I have come to expect from the Business account.

Why you use p2p? bad! you not care for network! :D
Ftp is generally shaped to the nasties on shaped accounts.

Most definitely.

Didn't know that, thought me something new,

The promises they give, its the cheapest of its kind

Someone has a rougue finger

I actually think Telkom's system is to blame because their website still has my line as a 1Mbps max. All moot now of course.

Mine says the same but line comfortably does 8, bends a bit at 10 to 9.2 to 9.5 weather dependent

Our Business Uncapped is completely unshaped, as opposed to our Uncapped products which can be shaped during peak demand. At the moment, we are seeing heavy demand across our network, especially in the North, so we are shaping more than we'd like (but we expect this to be resolved shortly).

For the price, Business is a great option to get the best of the Capped Experience with the Uncapped benefits :)

Drop me a PM if you'd like to know more :)

That's pretty odd - There should never be a physical change to the line during migration. In fact, this is the first time I have ever come accross this :(

Sorry this went sideways, but glad you're getting your speeds again :)

@bedford, remember to migrate line as well, this you will save s bit on the line and pay a bit more on the data

And mine gets even better (ja right) http://www.speedtest.net/result/3068548894.png

What's with the lame upload? and 50% download?

Afriman?

We'd have to check out your line and account to see what the issue might be. If you're running shaped services at the same time,it can skew your results. At any rate you should be running no other services when you do a speedtest :(

All good man. I will keep my line with Telkom although it's R72 more expensive.

That's one Rock Solid network you guys have :/
