Hey AfriMan! quick question... by using the 4mb business uncapped bundle, would it be possible to download/stream smoothly while playing games such as Counter Strike etc. ? Because we're currently on 2mb uncapped for home use, but whenever e.g. I play a game and my brother downloads or streams something on youtube, it makes it impossible to play.

I'd say it should be fine, I'm sure it would as long as the streaming is kept to a 480p res you shouldn't have a problem

It depends on a couple of factors. Firstly, is your router or home network doing any kind of QoS. If not, then your services are contending for bandwidth and there's no real way of knowing who will win. Generally networks will give priority to bandwidth favouring streaming and gaming - but I would definitely recommend experimenting with your router's QoS (if it has it) to try to prioritise gaming - so your brother only get's the bandwidth that's left.

If that download is via torrents, it's probably worse. Torrents make multiple connects and upload and download as well. So while his download usage might be small, he might be saturating your upload, causing latency in packets being sent for gaming.

Another option is to have separate WiFI networks and setting up rules for priority or max bandwidth. A little trial and error will probably get you to the best solution here

Generally it would be fine, but if both real time services are demanding bandwidth, especially if there is only 2Mbps to play with - it can get tricky. You want your gaming to never lag or buffer - cos you can't get that time back. A little buffering on a video is not going to kill anyone as much as being bumped from a game or getting fragged cos your screen froze

Over the weekend I was downloading a torrent and playing some bf4 at the same time. My ping in game was 8ms and the download was running at about 250kb/s. So no issues for me there.

Me and my fiance are also able to stream YouTube at the same time on 480p with the play bar never touching the buffer bar.

Moved to them today and loving it....every aspect from the new client zone to the experience . I'll be able to give gaming feedback once the ps4 arrives to let you know but so far YouTube runs perfect on 720p never buffering and browsing is a pleasure.

I've got faith that YouTube will do find on 360p while you play but just remember when they selecting new videos and what not to stream its going to use the full bandwidth to load it and those might cause spikes, of Type RSA says he has no problems then experience is better than word of mouth so seems like a good option then

I've got serious slowdown on my 2Meg account as well. Cannot even stream basic quality video, and my web pages load very slowly indeed, sometimes. Latency seems fine, but there are these weird once-off timeouts in my pings:
