Morning all

Looks like we've lost a small piece of our South IPC. This may cause clients in the region to experience slow throughput and high latency.

We also need to redirect some traffic while we work on the IPC with Telkom. Sorry for the inconvenience. I'll post updates as I get them from our team working on this.

Telkom allows g.dmt to sync up to 6Meg.

The official spec goes up to 8meg though.

If I set my router to g.dmt it sync's at 8Mbps.

Oh well... at least this is still workable, if compared to my previous ISP office hours performance. Slow but usable.

Does anyone know if I need to sign up for the business DSL accounts during the day? Or can I get one at any time, so long as I produce the bucks?

and it's pro-rata AFAIK

Indeed. If Telkom pulls through before the end of the month I can safely cancel on the 25th and not have to pay for February, so there's less risk overall.

Only issue, really, is that damn ID verification thing.

You can hit that cancel button straight after you sign up, to make sure you don't miss the 25th.

I signed up years ago so they have mine on record which I'm not comfortable with: RICA is just to make it easier to spy on you, call me paranoid :)
