My line speed has been upgraded, so maybe that was the reason for the poor performance lately. I surely hope so.

It's possible if you're line is not really coping with the higher speeds (due to cable quality or distance from the exchange). Have you done any testing? Maybe download our network test app and run it so we can see the results :(

It feels much better so far though, still above 30ms but at least no hop in the 200 and 300ms range.

I'm in Mac, can't use the test app.

Your second hop should never really be above 30ms. Definitely concerning there :(

I stay in Gauteng.
My question to you?
Why when using tracert the IP addresse go due Halfway to Capetown and then back to Gauteng. (Dauglas comes to mind.)
This is a long way to the south then back to the north.
So latency becomes a issue.

Never mind the 2nd hop, something is wrong from the first, which should indicate a problem with your router

CPT to International - London



International is a bit slower, but still operates fine.

OK, signed up today...downloaded fine earlier but now getting 0kb/s with NNTP...anyone else getting this?
