does it also have bad performance in after hours?

i am going to AH_B next month, and by the looks of it its not going good at all
but then again,we only see the complains, and not the good part,so ya :/

The only issue at the moment I am experiencing is Twitch buffering 24/7 on medium. The Twitch thing is not an issue for me, I am not a Twitcher, but I mentioned it as I tested it for friends wanting to join AH, and it worked fine, up until a week and a bit ago. Twitch on medium is buffering every 20s-30s no matter which stream / DNS / time of day / duration is selected. It is buffering now on medium the way it used to buffer on high. Which is something to take note of as it used to be just fine.

Everything else is still great, and my AH 2Mbps business is the best ISP account I have had in 6 years.
I should have moved to this account years ago.

Is there a problem in the WC / Cape Town this morning? Not getting the usual great performance on this account.

I am also only getting 2-3Mbps on my 6mbps business account since yesterday...western cape also :-(

i am gonna get the 6mbps

and i dont to twitch at all, just youtube, and now and then streaming from othersites (series/movies)

so if twitch is the only prob,i wont mind,as long as i can stram 1080p in youtube

i can do that with my 6mbps openweb atm, just want the exstra when i want to torrent in the day and to get rid of shaping on p2p etc. in genaral

also i am in the cape aria :/

Maybe ask other 6Mbs AH Business users in your area for their input ?
I can only vouch for my 2Mbs experience... and I have seen with other ISPs how 2/4/6/8Mbps accounts behave differently even on the same telephone line.

My speed in pe is slow as we'll normally I get 610 Kb /s now I get 150 Kb/s

Also EC. On 8mb/s. Something is defintely amiss.

Definitely a problem in the Southern Cape & PE.

Afrihost 2Mbps on a 6Mbps Business Account
Webafrica full line speed (6Mbps)

Afriman have your run out of IPC capacity again ? Looks that way.

When can I expect a response to my ticket regarding a refund?

And still no response to the other ticket... shocking service. Almost a full week.

I just had to downgrade from 10MB Uncapped to 4MB Business because of the 24/7 shaping!
Now the 4MB "Business Uncapped" account is maxing out at 325kB/s, which isn't even 3MB speed, and is erratic and unstable.
This is now definitely worse than when I was with MWEB!

My other 10MB Business Uncapped can't seem to maintain connections to servers without multi-threaded downloading. WTF IS GOING ON????

I agree entirely on the comment, "..... WE ARE PAYING NOW!"
STOP SIGNING UP NEW CLIENTS AND TEND TO THE ONES YOU HAVE.... YOU ARE LEGALLY OBLIGATED TO DELIVER THE SERVICE YOU PROMISED!

Very disappointing.... I now feel like I did with 8TA 3G in my area, where I had to keep resetting the router 15 times a day to get any sort of throughput. How is it possible to go from "total bliss" for 3 months, to total S**** in the last 2 weeks?????

Really sorry that your experience isn't the best :( We're aware of the heavier than normal shaping in the South Region and do have capacity on the way to help resolve this.

Another thing.... Afrihost's claim that the 1GB account is the same as the Business uncapped, is simply not true.
How is it that the 1GB seems to outperform the Business Uncapped?????? I would think that as a business client / user I should have priority over ALL other offerings. These 2 types of accounts might be the same by description, or nature, but they seem to be authenticated and routed very differently on the network. It appears that Business Uncapped has to make a few more hops/stops/routes and onto different servers on the MTN network. This is quite evident when doing trace routes on the accounts, and even more evident when the trace is done for afrihost.co.za, versus afrihost.com - how the hell can these be different???? Both domains resolve to the same IP address.

Both account types are both unshaped products and sit on the same bandwidth priorities. If you've noticed a difference in the two please PM me with some comparison results so I can bring this up with our team.
Very strange that latency is being affected though.

I'm sure our Accounts team will attend to this as soon as they can.

You shouldn't be seeing slow speeds on your end :( Have you run any testing on the account yet?

Yes i switched over to a Webafrica account and got full line speed...so line is fine, afrihost is not.

Sincerely sorry about the wait, you definitely shouldn't see such a long wait for a ticket :(
Please PM me the ref# so I can do some digging on this for you.

STILL waiting... Seems you need to stop digging, and physically walk over to people and start smacking them... 8 Days and counting.
