It seems last night and today all is running smoothly on my side P2P was blistering since last night.

Ok, so I was wrong, throughput on NNTP downloads is less than 1Mb on my 10Mbps account...
Yet speedtest says everything is okay, so what's going on over there AH?

Just a note that business bandwidth tanked around mid-day here in Cape Town. 40kb/s. It would appear that SSL transactional data is being severely impacted (above other protocols). Just thought I'd mention it.

Update:
Thought I'd try something: I can torrent a test file at 225kb/s (on a 10mb line), that's several orders of magnitude faster than I can send a file via an SSL encrypted proxy. That can't be right, guys. During business hours? :wtf:

Anybody else having an issue with SSL protocol-based data transfer at the moment?

Lets get some tests around this, could you PM me please?

It seems AH is penalizing SSL traffic at the moment; at least that's my findings based on tests here in Cape Town. If your NNTP traffic is also SSL encrypted that would account for your poor performance; but to blanket throttle ALL SSL traffic, that's just not right, AH, not during business hours. :-/

This shouldn't be the case at all :(
Please PM me your info so I can have some tests run.

Ok, so I just disabled my news server with SSL encryption and using the AH news server, no change in speed....

@afriguy, I am paying for a 10Mbps account not a 1Mbps account, sort this out please!!!!!!

The East IPC isn't looking too bad today. Are you constantly seeing degraded speeds?

I don't know, as I work during the day, I noticed today cause I was at home, in any case it shouldn't be the issue, give us what we pay for, is that too much to ask?
