Afriguy, with regards to my pm from last night, it happened this morning again (same time) :/
Code:
30/10/2013 00:09:56
CoId={4A67BE0B-AEBC-4108-8D94-8EB486F78A0C}: The user x-pc\x dialed a connection named [email protected] which has terminated. The reason code returned on termination is 829.

So I thought last night was just an anomaly and I tried to stream Sons Of Anarchy this morning...

Starts up fine but buffers every 2 minutes...

Fix this or else I have no choice but to look elsewhere. Streaming was the reason I chose Afrihost and if you can't provide that reliably then I'm gone.

My streaming has been broken for weeks on AppleTV and Netflix/Hulu on a 10Mb account. Don't get your hopes up on it getting fixed unfortunately.

My streaming was fine up until yesterday when my line moved over from Telkom to Afrihost. I have been singing Afrihost's praises for weeks because my streaming was top notch.

At round about 10 AM yesterday I got an SMS saying the line migration had been effected and since then it has been horrible despite it working perfectly just 30 mins earlier.

AfriGuy assures me that it is just paperwork involved but I'm not so sure and the lack of a response to my queries in this thread is quite troublesome.

I am willing to bet big money that should I move my line back to Telkom then my troubles will go away.

He's right though, it is just paperwork for all practical intents and purposes. Very weird issue :/

Well, then they should look into it... I've sent PM's and complained in this thread but nobody has gotten back to me. All that the fix my line does is sync me at lower speed despite my line stats been excellent.

With the migration my SNR has dropped from 31dB to about 26dB as well. Maybe the paper work caused that too.

Can one of the Afripeople get back to me already. I've sent AfriMan and AfriGuy PM's yesterday and today...

Sending a help SMS to Afrihost doesn't help either as they just send you a message at midnight apologising for not getting back to you or phone you at ridiculous hours of the morning.

No internet here in Cape Town, Claremont area, line just keeps on re-syncing, was on hold for 12 minutes at the afrihost call center and decided to kill the call!

I need to push stuff to github repo and build to a server! Come on afrihost!

Hi all using a business acc, I need to ask one thing, when services where slow during the IPC failure, was all services equally slow, just need to make up my mind if it is worth my while using the business account during an IPC failure in future. I personally thought about upgrading due to the statement on their site but as you guys did not have full speed, I hesitated .

When IPC fails, we have to push our capacity much harder, and that means that there are more clients contending for the available bandwidth. Clients may experience higher latency and diminished throughput - depending on the nature and severity of the outage :(

1.9Mpbs on Afrihost Uncapped (business)
Vs
8.62Mbps on Webafrica.

Yeah, there is NOTHING wrong...

Yeah, there is NOTHING wrong...

Business accounts now seem to be performing rather poorly... Maybe a whole bunch of people upgraded to Business and contention is through the roof.

The worst is, the afrihost webpage states "NETWORK FULLY OPERATIONAL"...

I held on for support for 15 minutes before getting tired of the hold music....

What the hell is the point of paying a premium for an account that behaves like this.

@Afriman when can I expect a call from your "consultant" I have a business account, should it not have priority support?
