What is the performance like regards to gaming and nntp on these accounts?

Our Business accounts are not shaped, so either service should get full available line speed. If you're running the services at the same time, it would depend on your own QoS settings, we don't set priority on the bandwidth (unless you use Protocol Prioritisation to limit P2P traffic completely).
 
Looks like I have some decisions to make then :)

Are there any issues in the deep south, my nntp and p2p are getting no throughput, was working 100% earlier, already opened a ticket, just wanted to know if there are any network issues?

You new? Go to clientzone, then check that protocol prioritization is turned off :)

Meh.....

Still no Telkom feedback and still sitting with less than 2Mb line speed. Kinda wonderful on a 10Mb line, isn't it...

Anyone in Cape town who can tell me if they have problems with 1mbps business uncapped after hours, im planning to convert my everyday uncapped to business uncapped but want to check if its worth it and not a telkom problem with my internet.

In your router, instead of allowing "auto" with the DSL mode (ADSL2+ in your case), force it to G.dmt.

I've heard that this standard (the one I've been stuck on (4mb) since forever) has more tolerance with SNR and stuff, so, hopefully will help your situation with your dodgy line.

Get the free 1GB capped account for life and test with that to eliminate a Telkom issue.
 
Just a bit puzzled. This morning for some reason I lost my internet.
Did a speed test with my mobile found horrible latencies.
Downloading was effected. Reset my router.
Did another speed test, found test ok.
Also checked ping with Afrihost all 10ms pings. Then did a tracert to afrihost 3rd hop +/-200ms pings.
Some of the hops even timed out. Did this a couple of times. Still all over the show.

Switched over to WA capped account downloads are flying.
