How does the Afrihost business account compare the the business account of Axxess, because their accounts are a bit cheaper? Afrihost and Axxess is one and the same?

Not sure how Axxess do their Business accounts so it's hard for me to say. Maybe someone in the forum could compare. If you have questions about our product specifically, I can answer that - or you can PM me
No quite sure about Axxess but I can vouch for the Afrihost one. I have moved while ago to the Business account from my standard Afrihost uncapped account and have never had a single days issue.
And the service is excellent. Especially from AfriMan even though Telkom sucks.

Isn't Axxess on a different backbone whilst Afrihost is on MTN?

As far I know, Afrihost bought Axxess but their backbones could be still different to each other.
Axxess is also on the MTN backbone
That is good. From what I can see though, Axxess offers free Static IP with theit business accounts.
@AfriMan/AfriGuy do you not offer this to your business account clients, such as me and of course others...Hint,Hint...

While offering free static IP's is a good idea, remember - it isnt that simple to put in place. You have to use a router which can establish an L2TP connection - which normally are a bit more expensive than usual routers....

In terms of Afrihost, I have never been shaped on the Business account, reason why I changed from the standard uncapped account and I can consider myself quite a heavy users in terms of data.
That looks like a line issue to me! :/

Some one requiring and using a static IP will probably know what to look for then
If I remember correctly there was a thread somewhere that explained something about mikrotik routers not being able to make the necessary L2TP connection or some such thing. Has this been fixed? My line has been moved to the new Telkom MSANS exchange (by Telkom) hence now I get clear 10Mbps and I wanted to upgrade my account to 20Mbps but cant as Telkom has not updated their system and reflect that I can only get 4Mbps.

I have the exact same issue, my exchange is 20Mbps compatible, but Telkom havnt yet updated their systems so it is blocking the upgrade -_-

Yip, AfriMan tried to help but when you dealing with Telkom is like talking to a wall as you may by now know.
Yet they phoned me about the upgrade them selves and tried to send a Telkom consultant (Sales Person) to my house to explain to me what the change means to me (In other words try to convince me to move my line back to them).
I wonder if this is the reason why they are not updating their side and if you would say yes move my line back (not my intention) how quick they would update the system.

I have the ZyXel and I think this one does support it. However I am having issue with the WiFi as sometimes after reboot it does not bring the WiFi back up until you re-apply the wireless settings. Weird.
