I'm not sure what I'm supposed to help with then... I do need that information to figure out what is going on.

What is it that you can actually do? Nothing. You're just here to make it look like you care. You can't do ****.

@AfriGenie

I responded to your PM. My connection is still the same.

EDIT: My connection also dropped 10mins ago

I finally managed to get past the authentication screen in D3 but my latency was over 1000ms. I honestly feel like I need to join those that have already left and find a new ISP.

Indeed he cannot do ****
All they can do, is treat us like idiots.

I have nothing further to add to this thread sadly, I am now an ex-customer! Had to change ISP to get stuff working in the house again... terrible but what can you do..

I'm really getting p**** off now. Where I usually got between 3.2 - 3.4 mbps during the morning and day.....and at night I got between 0.4 - 0.8 mbps
This morning....now I'm also getting just 0.4 - 0.8 mbps.....FFS!!!!!!!!

We did see a small spike in latency between 10pm and 10:30pm, might explain why latency was so high. From what I can see, based on what we usually see with what in-game latency adds on, that could be consistent with the spike I saw. Latency seems to have been stable the rest of the day and evening here.

I think we need to try to keep our feedback thread civil. If you don't want to give feedback or engage because you don't think we're trying to help, that's always your prerogative not to use this channel.

I don't think anyone here wants to treat anyone like an idiot or be treated like one. We're here to engage and find solutions (where we can) and provide information.

That's a bit strange because there is definitely no demand on our network at that time. Can I see the whole test that you ran?

Great

1st of the month and using an IS account as this Afrihost one is just meh.... again.

Not a great start to a new month, but I suppose, waiting for IPC upgrades will now take some time...

definitely not great. but remember it's not just upgraded IPC, it's a brand new network, so all considered it would be amazing for it to arrive in the two weeks that Gian mentioned. Still, I'm sure you'd rather it was working solidly before you try it, so I don't think we should cut any corners to get it here faster.

Something tells me its best to just wait until end of this month before I move my ADSL to you guys. Hopefully the upgrades and improvements Gian mentioned will take place by then.

It depends on how the project goes, but I think there will definitely be clients testing on the network by then, according Gian's post. I'll know more once we get accounts internally and we have an idea of how the networks are performing and holding up.

Well....Afrihost only has until 24 July to deliver on their promises. If they don't, I'm cancelling and so will all my relatives and friends.....and that includes business accounts

Well I am hoping there is at least some improvement to your network by then. :)

Eish

So it is this kark internet service as normal then on Afrihost Capped accounts for 2 weeks then... nothing can be done to improve it until then.

fair enough. I think we'll definitely see clients on the new networks testing by then, and either way that should improve your experience whichever network you are on.

We're definitely still working on making improvements on the current network and jumping on issues as we pick them up. We are seeing more and more latency creep in, so that is a priority to control until we can move some clients over to test the new networks.
