The latency on my business uncapped account is death atm.
I'm really sorry about that, we should have things running smoothly again in the South ASAP.

The latency on my business uncapped account is death atm.
Afrihost Network Status said:Resolved: 16:00, 13 May 2015
UPDATE 10:25am 13 May 2015 Latency appears to be stable and back to normal. Our engineers will continue to monitor the network to ensure best performance. We’d like to once again apologise to any affected clients for their poor experience.
As usual all regions show green, the issue is marked as resolved 2 days ago, yet the same file with a Telkom account Chrome estimates 7 min to download and with Afrihost account 3 Hours......
Come on guys, we are not fools and this is not resolved.

Will it help if I switch my geyser and all the lights off...?

If you don't mind me asking, would be able to run a traceroute to Afrihost.com so that I can see where the latency is originating from.

Still no official answer why iOS updates only does 30-50KB/s but when using VPN I get 600-700KB/s.
Anyone from Afrihost want to explain?
Good luck. Been trying to get an answer on that for over a month. Around 40 support mails, phone calls, forum posts and Twitter DM's and still no answer.
Changing ISP fixed the issue instantly for me though.
"Rollover or refund" Good luck expecting any sort of response on that! I have also been floating this idea in my recent posts but have never had as much as an acknowledgement. The idea must be terrifying to AH.Ya the South is erratic.
10mbps line - erratic with a 5mbps average

AH has got to consider rollover or refunds.
This request went answered in my prior post.
Think it's time AH addressed and actioned it.

Yep after 5 min of trying to download the Super Sport app (39MB), it was only 5% completed on my 10Mb/s line. I change to my 3G (9Mb/s) and it completes the download in like 15sec! I assume Afrihost is refusing to tell us what the issue is with iOS downloads! And since they have this fancy expensive new network software, I'll bet they do know what is causing it! *cough*Their own software*cough*!

Personally I would be quite happy with rollover - after all we pay for the bandwidth (up front) so surely it belongs to us! If AH can't deliver, for whatever reason, then we should be compensated in some way.
Promises of great things to come just don't cut it.
Oh and I did support and promote you guys without reservation before the MTN buy-out / buy-in whatever. Even after. But you've lost ground. Sadly.
... and again - met with deathly silence. Multiple responses to posts after this one. This... avoided like the plague.
@Afripeople: We're STILL waiting patiently for a response.
The network has not been performing to expectation. Before any refutes or rebuttals rather just go re-read the hundreds of posts in this, and the prior thread clearly outlining the troubles faced by your (still) loyal customers.
