Slowly increasing. Loca ping seems good.

10375ms ping HotS.
Please check up on it to include it in exceptions for p2p traffic. It is a real-time game.
HotS = Heroes of the Storm, it is a Battle.net game made by Blizzard.

Quick question:

I see my line has been bumped up from 6 to 7Mbps (thanks to Telkom probably). I want to get it down to 6 again for stability. I logged into the client zone but I see the functionality for me to set my own line speed has been removed. How do I go about changing this now?
Bump

Capped should not be affecting p2p. I know some games use it for updates and other things.

Sorry for only getting to this now :(
I don't think this is possible anymore with Telkom's automated systems. We can't even force a change from our end.

Isn't the line currently stable at it's current sync?

Why is the news servers not working on AH until 22:30 it just keeps saying failed to connect paid and AH news server but when i use my webafrica account my paid server is working. i am so tired of this i am on a capped account looks like i have to jump ship after reading this thread just complaints and no answers or any fixes

I can't really be any clearer on this, our issues aren't the result of IPC capacity, and our planned network upgrades do not include IPC upgrades.

There are major upgrades on the way and these will definitely see performance increase drastically.

Despite it being a short work week, we've been here behind our desks helping out where we can.

I'm a bit confused by this explanation.

Axxess is on the same MTN network, and is the same company (wholly owned by Afrihost) in fact.

They have raised the red flag (after delaying like Afrihost) and have issued a notice regarding "network capacity". Do they mean IPC capacity or which capacity could this mean?

ADSL network performance

We are currently experiencing high network demand which is affecting the performance of some of our ADSL services. Clients may experience slower speeds and higher latency on their accounts at certain times when demand is at its highest.

A high priority project is under way to increase the network capacity nationally. We are unable to provide a timeframe for completion but assure all of our clients that this is receiving the highest priority and that we are doing our utmost best to provide all of our clients with the best internet experience possible while this project is underway. We undertake to keep our clients informed of any timelines and progress as they become available.

We sincerely apologise to all clients affected and we assure you that this is being given the highest priority and all necessary steps are being taken to expedite to completion.

Every thing going VERY rosy at the moment...(Dunno for how long though) Torrents running full speed, streaming Simfy and browsing all at once on 2mb line in Slaapstad Mitchell's Plain...awesome!

They've killed gaming.

my side also working fine they must be shaping everyone because on weekends everything is running full speed but nothing during the week nntp is not even connecting at all but after 22:30 my stuff starts working again also gaming is fine on weekends

Down in CPT things aren't so rosy.

Local speedtests show lower latency (19ms) and better speeds (16mbps) than recently.
Generally expect 13ms and 19mbps down.

International latency is okay however speeds are poor. Maxing out at 8mbps.
