I am on a 50gig capped bundle account. Was told by your team that I am not getting the 50 gig. is this correct?

Well, Yes and No. Basically, clients already on a Capped Bundle will be getting a special bundle which gives them the same per GB rate as Capped clients so the get the same value (as well as the discounted benefit of having their line with us).

Gian is sending out a mailer over the next couple of days to explain. But if you didn't get a custom data bundle, please drop me a PM.

Still on 50GB as well... sent PM.

I think it makes sense to do a general post here.

Most Capped Bundle clients will have received some additional data on their packages due to the new integration of Double Data. Essnetially, clients on Capped only are receiving a rate from R1,80 per GB. So we calculated the data spend on Capped Bundles and adjusted the amount of data upward to reflect the new price. For some this did equate to double data or thereabouts.

However, there are some clients who received less data than expected or no data, they were most likely on a custom bundle where the per GB price they were paying was either similar or even less than the new rate. In these cases we have adjusted where possible in the clients favour, or left their bundle as is.

No clients should be paying more or receiving less data than previously though.

Anyone who feels that they're bundle is still not what it should be, please PM me so we can review :)

Strange as I just applied for a bundle that was advertised and paid the price that was advertised. No custom bundle.

I pay R375 am month for the 4meg line 50 gig.......... how much are you guys paying and what did you get.

I am 10meg and 50GB for R450 - This wasn't a custom bundle. Apparently I won't be getting any extra data.

EDIT: may have been custom actually.

Well if you look here:

http://www.afrihost.com/site/product/capped_dsl_bundles

4Meg and 50GBs + 50GBs is actually R458.

You're getting a R83 discount.

I know but then I got my bundle that was not the price. That is the new price for people. I understand what they are saying but I was told that from this month we all will get the 50 gig extra till September. they started with the bonus gigs and then we where told that from this month it will be an automatic thing.

I ma not complaining....... just asking for clarification.....

Drop me a PM with your DSL username and I'll see what's happening on the account :)

Agreed. I was also under the impression that I would be getting more data. There should be clarity in the emails sent out - for example, it should say "clients paying x amount will receive x percentage" etc. Not complaining about AH, just a bit disappointed that I'm not included in it.

Gian should be sending out confirmations around all this soon :)

Wondering as well... I'm on the old price, and getting the old bundle as is, but wasn't told what was going to happen with what, other than Afriman saying that "news is coming soon".

Can't seem to spot anything out of the ordinary here. Also remember that even if shaping was applied (which it isn't on our Capped/ Business Uncapped accounts) it doesn't affect latency.

What's all slow on your end?

Also a latency problem. Have sent more than 1 mail with the below to client zone and nothing.
