wow this is bad... Just got home and tried to stream some news highlights from the BBC.

Im on a 20 mb line by the way

Im about to start drafting Gian an email. Either way, this is going to the top.

The options here are this,

1. You refund me my money that you took for October

or

2. I get the service that I am paying a premium for. I consider a capped unshaped product premium

edit : unfortunately for you, ive had a bad week and Im not feeling tolerant at all. I also just got a Roku 3, which Im staring at because I cannot use it.

Thank you for the PM. I agree that there is nothing wrong with the account. Judging from the last 10 pages on this topic, its quite clear that the culprit is contention/demand problems. Regardless of what you want to call it, it not supposed to be my problem.

Please refer to post #4728. I want my money back.

look at this, from one of your competitors. Capped unshaped bandwidth. I did 4 tests and this was the SLOWEST one

For the guys having issues with Destiny - signing in and the like - someone on SAGamer received feedback from Afrihost that the game does not have a signature yet on their system. As such they are picking it up as p2p and new control policies are affecting it.

He quoted the mail he received. So yea. There is this issue as well. Afrihost when will this be resolved?

But theyvsaid they don't shape capped accounts?!

I know right haha.

Yea. Word play. Optimisation, tweaking or managing etc. I don't care what they are calling it but there is no way in hell that capped and business at present is running without their tweaks affecting them. All the tests here confirm it.

Now these might not be intentionally interfering, but I doubt it.

They are working on adding the new game signatures.

I'd just like that they play their cards face up is all. Very disheartening to get the real truth from network techs and critical care staff via emails, but then get told they were obviously wrong and misinformed :-\ All the while while we confirm these things via our own tests.

I'm currently on Afrihost capped account. I recently upgraded my telkom line from 4 meg to 10 meg. I noticed that my Router syunc at downloading 6meg. I phoned telkom and they said that I'm on a 10meg speed, and that it is normal that the router will show 6meg???? (anyway)My speedtest show 6meg down. If I check on the telkom adsl checker, my line speed is on 10 meg.
I have attached an image of my router db. Is this normal or abnormal what you can see on my db reading?

You are syncing at 6Mbps. It shows 10Mbit because 6Mbit is technically part of the same profile (it's anywhere from 5 to 10Mbit). You could probably get up to 8Mbit without having any issues.

I'm syncing at 6Mbit and it shows 10Mbit on Telkom's website.

Your router says it can achieve 26mbps, so I would think you should be able to get at least 10. Ask telkom/afrihost to set you at 10 sync instead of only the profile, or ask them to recreate the port if it is an error.
