OK, I'm tired of paying for a 10mbps service and getting 5. I've just done a speedtest with no-one else on the line and my speed was around 4mbps. Does that mean that if I switch to a 4Mbps circuit that I'll be running at full speed, or will it peak at 2mbps? Anyone know? I have a capped account with Afrihost so it's not that I'm in the uncapped pool.

8.2 Mbps to Vodaphone speedtest server in London with 181ms ping.
I've never seen that in my life before.
Hope it stays like this.

Eish, what's wrong Afrihost ?
The ping is far too high in the speedtestWhere you running any network activity at the time? There may be intermittent issues on the line.
