We don't expect that performance issues will be much longer. Now that the East has been upgraded, we expect the North and South to follow ASAP. When we have a more concrete ETA, we'll let everyone know.

Between the capped and the business uncapped threads, how many hundreds of pages has this been going on for? Look where we're at... Capacity is still an issue, AH are still not-not "shaping", performance sucks, and we still have no clue when it's going to be fixed. Nothing has changed!
AH had better be careful now, because not only are they losing dissatisfied customers, but they're turning these customers into activists that will go out of their way to discourage others from using them. MyBB may only make up a small portion of the AH client base, but everyone takes advice from their "computer nerd" friends. You know, the ones on MyBB?..
There's only so long you can continue to say "any time now", "soon", "on the way", "in a few weeks", etc.. Regarding the shaping, well this is all semantics and AH can call it what they want, but nobody here is getting fooled. The bottom line is that people buy capped accounts because they don't want to worry about shaping/optimising/managing/etc. Are they getting what they believe they're paying for? No. Perceived value is hugely significant in retaining customers..
If AH really cared about their customers, they would stop selling these accounts until such time as there is sufficient capacity to sustain their current demand. The fact that they are actively marketing these accounts, when they know they cannot deliver on their promises, shows that their only concern is their profit margin.
PS - How many more times is this going to happen before AH fire their incompetent network planning team? You should never find yourself running out of capacity. Everyone knows it isn't a 2 second fix, hence you plan ahead and order new IPC upgrades well in advance. Unless the business strategy is to hold back on upgrading the network for as long as possible, in order to save cash. You would think they would've learned from the last time they made this mistake... 6 months ago.
Are you speaking about torrents or downloads here or general line throughput?
Hi Afriman
I requested the cancellation of my line and subsequent return back to Telkom in the beginning of the month. I'd like to find out when in November +- this process should be complete?
Thanks
Why do you need to ask this, you don't shape, remember? Now complete the circle - actually I'll do it for you: "There is no shaping. Some services may be degraded due to contention". Another successful engagement done.

See attached picture.
What is your opinion on this.
For a company that keeps saying how much they care about their customers, when you have admitted your network is slow and needs to be upgraded why aren't you proactively telling your customers what is going on and tell them how you will compensate them for remaining loyal?
Where is the accountability? The management being humble and apologetic?
You are happily taking money from customers with no means to deliver the service being paid for and telling people to wait, accepting no responsibility for your actions.
It couldn't be any more rude if Gian stood outside your offices flipping customers the bird!
Shame on you Afrihost.
